Aroa Specialist Therapeutic Education Team (STET) supports children unable to attend school, including those educated through EOTIS/C.

At AROA STET, we provide specialist support for children who are unable to access school or those being educated via Education Otherwise Than in School/College (EOTIS/C).
We support children and families at the first stages of burnout and placement breakdown, minimising the time children spend without adequate support and specialist oversight, through to facilitating engagement with a bespoke curriculum, and even re-engagement with an educational setting if, and when ready.
Our team includes Specialist SEND Mentors, Consultant Mentors, and Educational Psychologists who deliver therapeutic, bespoke support within the home and community, tailored to meet each child’s needs.
Part of the AROA family
AROA STET is part of the AROA family – a dedicated team committed to supporting schools and families in understanding and addressing the needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Our work within AROA aligns with our shared values of child advocacy and collaborative working ensuring understanding of each child and young person and providing personalised, high-quality support to help children overcome barriers to learning and enjoy their education.

Providing Tailored Support
We believe every child is unique, and our mission is to provide tailored support that empowers them to thrive in education, regardless of the challenges they may face. By working closely with parents, carers, other professionals, and educational settings, we ensure each child’s needs are met in a way that feels right for them.
